Medicine Making Extravaganza for Home Apothecary

Join us in the Garden for a Medicine-Making Extravaganza!

Do you ever wish you could set aside a day to make all those tinctures or oils you want to fill the shelves of your home apothecary? I do too. It’s easiest to do it all at once, and it’s way more fun to do in a group.

I’m opening the garden up for anyone who wants to come and make their own medicine. Here are the details:

  • I will have all the supplies you need to make tinctures and oils: quarter-pint and half-pint jars, 80 proof vodka, organic canola and olive oil, scissors, knives, chopsticks and labels

  • You pay $5 to register. This gets you your first quarter-pint jar. Beyond that, you pay per jar:

    • Quarter-pint jar: $5

    • Half-pint jar: $10

  • The price is the same whether you make a tincture or an oil.

  • You will pay for the additional jars at the event (Cash, check, or card)

  • You get to harvest the herbs for your medicine.

  • I will be there to guide you and advise you.

  • I will have handouts on what to do with your tincture/oil once you get home and how to take your tincture.

Dates and Times:

  • Weds. July 25th, 10:00am-12:00pm

  • Weds, July 25th, 7:00pm-9:00pm

  • Sat, July 28th, 11:30am-2:30pm*

  • Weds, Aug 15th, 7:00pm-9:00pm

  • Sat, Aug 18th, 11:30am-2:30pm*

*These events will be entirely outside and are thus weather-dependent.

This is going to be really fun. Let’s build resilience from the ground up, together.

This class will be held in the Apothecary Garden. The Apothecary Garden is located at the top of the property. Continue straight up the drive and wind all the way up the hill until you reach the gravel parking lot beside the market building. Park in the parking lot, and walk straight back behind the high tunnels. You will see the Apothecary Garden behind the high tunnels.

Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear for being in the garden and harvesting herbs.
