** New additions for 2026 **

  1. In addition to the in-person classes, students will receive audio files with recordings of all the lessons. These lessons will be pre-recorded and made available ahead of each class. This offers two exciting benefits:

  • If you miss class, you won’t miss the lesson! Obviously, you get more from being in-person. But you won’t totally miss out.

  • You can listen as much as you want to review the material.

2. I’m bringing in someone else to teach the body systems classes! My friend and colleague, Paula Billig, will be teaching all about the body systems. She is much more experienced in this area than I am, and she’s an incredible teacher. These classes will happen via Zoom outside of our regular class meetings.

What makes this program different

There are so many herbal programs — why choose this one?

I’ve been teaching herbalism to adults for 10 years now. In that time, I’ve come to understand that adults arrive at herbal education from many backgrounds & contexts. Delving into herbalism as an adult isn’t the same studying back when you were a full-time student.

This program is designed not just to give you a lot of herbal facts, but to engage you in learning so that you actually absorb & retain the information.

We will use games, silliness, flavors, and hands-on activities to explore these herbs. Herbs are luscious and sensory — herbal learning should be luscious and sensory, too.

Two payment options:

One payment of $1450 or 12 monthly payments of $121

Location: Yardley Friends Meeting, 65 North Main St, Yardley PA.

The September class will be taught at a different location. You’ll have the details before the program begins.

Special features:

  • This location is just one mile from Yardley Train Station (a SEPTA station), making it easily accessible from Philly! I’m so excited about this. While it’s possible to walk one mile, we can easily arrange for another student to pick you up at the train station if you’re traveling by train.

  • Yardley Friends Meeting is fully accessible.

  • The grounds are lovely and feature a creek and waterfall. We’ll have our botany lessons (and maybe other lessons) outside on the grounds. Students will also be invited to plant walks off-site (see below).

Body Systems Classes

Herbs work on the body, so it's important and helpful to understand how the body works as well. I’m thrilled that my good friend and fellow herbalist Paula Billig is joining us to teach our Body Systems lessons, including systems like Immune, Digestion, Nervous and Sleep, and more. You will gain a whole-body understanding of what's going on underneath your skin (and about your skin as well!) so you can apply your new herbal knowledge to the problems our bodies often acquire.

The Body Systems classes will take place virtually over Zoom and will be recorded in case you can’t attend live.

Plant Walks

Students are invited to attend as many Plant Walks as they wish. Plant walks are held on Saturdays in the spring at various parts of the Lockatong Preserve in Delaware Township, NJ. Exact location details will be provided. Dates are TBD.

FAQ

WHAT IF I CAN’T MAKE ONE OF THE DAYS?

It’s up to you to come to class. When you register, you register for the entire program. If you’re worried that you’ll need to miss one or more class days, and you’re not ok with paying for the days you miss, this isn’t a good fit for you. If you miss more than two classes, you won’t receive your certificate of completion.

If you miss a class, you’ll get printed copies of all handouts from that class, and we’ll make you any products that we make in class that day for you to take home. You are also welcome to attend the class in the other cohort (Friday/Saturday) if possible. You will also have access to pre-recorded audio lessons of the class material.

WILL I GET A CERTIFICATE AT THE END OF THE PROGRAM?

Yes, you’ll get a certificate of completion that lists your study hours. This number will vary based on how many plant walks you attend. If you miss more than two classes, you will not get a certificate of completion.

CAN I GET A REFUND?

Once the classes begin, your reservation is non-refundable. Your reservation ensures your spot in a limited program — once you make that commitment, it’s your job to keep it. Please think carefully before you commit to a eight-month program.

IS THERE A MONTHLY PAYMENT OPTION?

Yep! The monthly plan extends for 12 months.

DO I NEED TO BUY ANYTHING ELSE?

Nope! All the supplies are included. There will be suggested (not required) reading, and if you’d like to do the reading you’ll need to acquire the books on your own.

IS THERE A WORK-TRADE OPTION?

Yes! Click here to learn more & apply for work-trade. Spots are limited and are offered on a first come, first served basis. Please fill out this application before you register for the class. Filling out this application will reserve your spot in the class, whether or not work-trade spots are available.

I’M INTERESTED BUT I LIVE FAR AWAY. IS THERE AN ONLINE OPTION?

This program is only in-person. But I do offer many online programs. If you’re interested in learning with me online, reach out and we’ll find the program that’s the best fit for you.
