Medicinal Pick-Your-Own in the Locust Light Garden

I've set the dates that the garden will be open for Medicinal Pick-Your-Own (PYO)! Huzzah!

The garden will be open on select Saturdays, from 10am-3pm, for visits and PYO.

Feel free to come and wander and to pick fresh herbs.

The PYO is all by donation -- you pay as much as you feel is appropriate.

We will have baskets, clippers, and brown paper bags.

The Garden will be closed if it's raining. If you live far away, check the weather before you leave.

If I have to close the garden due to rain, I will notify you these ways:

  • EMAIL! If you’re not on our email list, sign up at the bottom of the page

  • Our online calendar (dates that the garden is open will also be listed on the calendar, soon ;) )

It is your responsibility to check to ensure that the garden is open before you come to the garden.

Even if it's not raining where you live, it might be raining in Titusville, NJ.

The garden is not open on Sundays. It is also not open *every* Saturday -- it is only open on the Saturdays listed below.

The garden will be staffed by myself and HHA apprentices. We will be able to guide you in harvesting and basic uses of the herbs. We will not be able to give you medical advice or complex herbal recommendations in the garden.

I will always be there when the garden is open, and I'd love to meet you! But if I'm teaching a class, I won't be able to talk. Instead, you'll be able to talk with an HHA apprentice. They're all amazing, I promise.

The availability of herbs will change week-to-week. I'll do my best to keep you updated, but when things get very busy in the summer, sometimes I let that slide. Consider it an exciting adventure full of surprises.

Our address is 67 Pleasant Valley Rd, Titusville, NJ 08560. The property is called Gravity Hill.

Drive all the way to the top of the hill, following signs for The Farm Cooking School. Park in the gravel lot, and walk toward the back of the property. You may lose cell service when you get close to the farm, so look at the map ahead of time.

Now that you've read all those exciting details, here are the dates the garden will be open this season:

6/12

Feel free to save this list in your Notes app, put the dates in you calendar, or bookmark the link to our online calendar, so that you can refer to the list when it's gorgeous out and you ask yourself, "I wonder if the herb garden is open today...?"
