Learn to grow herbs in your backyard!
Join us for Farmhouse Yoga every Monday night in April at The Farm Cooking School. We will practice postures to stretch, release tension, cleanse, and strengthen. We will learn breathing techniques to calm and refresh the mind, followed by a deep relaxation. Class will end with a meditation.

Learn the basics of herbal medicine making! In this class, you'll learn
- How to make a medicinally potent herbal infusion
- How to make a tincture (an herbal extraction)
- How to make an herbal massage oil
You will work with herbs to support winter wellness, such as lymphatic cleansing, skin health, and mood support. We will enjoy our herbal infusion in class and you'll take a tincture and massage oil home with you!
Time: Tuesday, January 12th from 6:30-8:30
In this series we'll cover a different topic in each class. We will learn how herbs interact with the body systems and which herbs are most helpful for specific conditions. We will discuss herbal actions and the energetics of specific herbs. You will make a customized herbal product to take home.

Learn the basics of herbal medicine making, from how to make a medicinally-potent herbal infusion to how to make your own massage oils. It is easy to incorporate herbs into your life once you know the basics. You’ll make your own custom tincture and massage oil, as well as sample lots of herbal goodies along the way!

Join Locust Light herbalist Amanda Midkiff at The Farm Cooking School. Amanda will be teaching a class on Herbal Medicine making as part of The Farm Cooking School's Homesteading Series. Learn to identify local medicinal herbs growing right outside, make an infusion, tincture, and oil. The class will wrap up with an herb-themed lunch complemented by some delicious herbal cocktails.
